Automatic source directory
Configured publisher, government, international, humanitarian, weather, and emergency sources are classified by country, region, language, and source type. A source is never described as independent unless configured that way.
Feed discovery and health
Discovery checks RSS, Atom, and JSON Feed declarations plus a limited set of common feed paths. Feeds must contain a title and original URL. Repeated failures temporarily disable a feed, with automatic retry after a bounded backoff.
Labels
Official Statement, Military Statement, State-Affiliated Outlet, Humanitarian Source, Developing, Single Source, and Multiple Outlets Reporting labels are assigned by explicit metadata and deterministic rules.
